Five of our Grade 11, IGCSE 2 students attended the Eighth Annual Wits Integrated Experience (WIE) on 25 May.
The short course is designed to expose students to real-life scenarios and problem-solving exercises. The course develops critical thinking and creativity skills to find novel solutions to disruptive problems.
The theme was ‘Preventing Day-Zero – Securing Johannesburg’s Water’. On the 25 July we went back to present our solution for 10 minutes and to answer 5 questions about what we presented. We competed against 50 other schools in attendance and, WE WON our category!
A big congratulations to our grade 11 students for their hard work, dedication and flying the Lonehill International Academy flag high! The students in attendance were:
- Haris Khan
- Okuhle Mbuyisa
- Tamara Pillay
- Jade Grage
- Keneilwe Letsholonyane
